Relational Strategies

Relational Strategy

Relationship dynamics are far from a fixed reality.

Relational Strategy offers an objective approach to help people make relationship dynamics work at their best, successfully navigate challenging personalities and difficult situations, and ultimately give you resources for net-positive interactions. After all, when relationships work, everything else falls into place. At its core, it is about giving you the insight and tools to be more assertive and at ease, whether you are dealing with people in a demanding workplace, a difficult transition, or a strained personal tie. When we let unresolved situations linger they’ll quietly drain our focus, energy and corrode overall wellbeing. My approach is not traditional talking therapy. Instead it’s targeted coaching that creates a supportive environment to look at the actual mechanics of the dynamics at play, giving you resources to get things unstuck, untangle repetitive loops, digest experiences, identify blindspots, and map out practical, actionable ways to shift the balance and reset direction to get you to a better place. Depending on personal preference and the level of support you’d like to have, you can opt for 1:1 sessions or group classes to get started.

1:1 Sessions

1:1 Sessions

A private space to air what’s happening, gain perspective on the dynamics at play, and be in a better place. This 1:1 setting offers an independent sounding board to get clarity, untangle sticking points, or decompress from draining experiences. It will help avoid pitfalls in challenging situations and keep you on steady footing to move ahead.

Group Sessions

Group Sessions

A nurturing and constructive way to explore the most common challenges of everyday relationships and life transitions—work, home, partnerships, and family. Join an open class or a set programme to gain insights and a dedicated space to practice net-positive connections with like-minded people. Master healthy boundaries, be assertive in interactions, and improve your overall wellbeing. Draw strength from shared learning, and find powerful ways to build an environment around you that thrives.

How many sessions will I need to see a change?

Most clients already feel a big difference after just one session. Typically for Relational Strategy, I suggest a 6-session cycle so we can work on a theme. Some clients who have consistent, high-pressure environments find they benefit from regular sessions to keep a clear mind throughout, while others take cycles every now and again to deal with things as they emerge. For Systemic Constellations work, an individual or issue-holder workshop is an occasional, once-in-a-while kind of thing. It’s deep resonance work, so it’s important to give space for the changes to unfold and mature. But participating in Systemic Constellations workshops can be as regular as you’d like, as it is a uniquely rich platform for integrative development and wellbeing. My philosophy is: let’s work together only if, and as long as, you feel you’re getting something from the work. Otherwise it doesn't make sense.

If my issue is with my partner or family do I need to bring them to the session?

Not at all; doing the work for yourself is far more effective than dragging someone along who might not really want to be there. But if you and the other person are on the same page, keen on getting things sorted out for mutual benefit, then a joint process can be absolutely relevant.

Is Relational Strategy the same as traditional therapy?

No, it is a targeted coaching approach focused on practical understanding of relational dynamics and moving towards your goals, rather than analytical retrospective talk therapy.

Are group workshops and focus classes confidential?

I take great care to design the work I offer with privacy in mind, as it is key and really serves the process. The work we do in groups and workshops does not involve having to share confidential information, but out of respect for privacy, when you join a group or class we’ll have a shared agreement on confidentiality, as it is in the interest of everyone to uphold it. Individual, one-on-one sessions are strictly confidential by default.

What is the difference between a 1:1 session and a workshop?

1:1 sessions offer a private space to untangle specific challenges, while workshops provide a uniquely powerful environment for shared insight. It’s a question of preference; both enhance each other, pick whichever feels best for you now.

What is a Systemic Constellation?

It is a practical, visual method that maps out the systemic resonances of a given issue. It is highly effective at bringing hidden, underlying dynamics to light, giving you insight and the opportunity to uncover blindspots and resolve deep-seated issues.
